SC Healthcare Voices Workshop

Over the past few months, we have been through a policy rollercoaster ride, and remain unsure of what vote is to come in the current months and years. However, what we do know for sure is that we will power through and prepare ourselves for what comes next. 

For this reason South Carolina Appleseed Legal Justice Center will host a SC Healthcare Voices Workshop event on Saturday, August 26th in Columbia, and you are invited to participate. The meeting is designed to allow participants to learn more from each other and to discuss short, medium, and long term goals related to quality, affordable health care in our state. Participants will engage in discussions to generate ideas they can take back to their organizations and try.

The meeting plan is designed to maximize the sharing of information and the generation of ideas in a relatively limited time period. We will be breaking out into three groups to ensure participation. The three groups include: 

Short-term discussion will be focused around the upcoming Open Enrollment in the federal Marketplace (November 1^st – December 15^th) to encourage people to sign up;

Medium-term discussion will be focused around immediate health care and Medicaid issues facing South Carolina; 

Long-term discussion will be focused on what we ultimately want for SC health care to ensure affordable health care for all.

After you click "Register Here" (top right) you will have the ability to select your 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice for the breakout session. We will do our best to place everyone based on their preferences, but may have to make adjustments based on space limitations.
